Visit & Experience
If you don’t get to see Miami by boat, you aren’t seeing the very best of Miami. We have glitzy boats with DJs onboard but the best of what there is to see is underwater. Book a charter and rent some snorkel or diving equipment and spend the day exploring the reefs, wildlife and all the underwater secrets of the Atlantic. Consider checking out Boca Chita Key or Elliott Key, popular islands in Biscayne Bay, for docking the boat and getting the grill fired up.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, is the former villa and the estate of James Deering, the businessman of the Deering McCormick International Harvester fortune. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate also includes: extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; native woodland landscape; and a historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style, with Baroque elements. Miami-Dade County now owns the Vizcaya property, as the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, which is open to the public. 'Villa Vizcaya' is served by the Vizcaya Station of the Miami Metrorail.
Seeing the gorgeous pastel buildings of Miami Beach’s Art Deco Historic District is something no first-time visitor should miss. Take a self-guided audio tour or regularly scheduled walking tour of one of the world’s greatest concentrations of 1930’s architecture. Start at the Art Deco Welcome Centre at 1001 Ocean Drive. Admire the porthole windows, breezy front porches and nautical motifs of the Ocean Drive hotels. Learn the names of star Deco architects like Henry Hohauser and L. Muray Dixon. Stop for lunch at an outdoor café while soaking up the unique style of South Beach and the Art Deco District.
Miami Beach, Florida's picturesque winter playground has blossomed into a sophisticated community that’s full of visitors no matter the season.
Read a book or chat with your travel companion on the edge of the beach. Wake up in a world-class accommodation - a boutique hotel in a restored deco building or an oceanfront resort. Later, visit museums and take a walk, or a jog, in a park with 360-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean. Shop at your favourite stores and discover unique boutiques with the perfect clothes, accessories, or home goods to take home and remember your trip by. Play eighteen holes at a nearby golf course. The food is spectacular; the seafood caught daily. If you're ready to turn in early after a day at the spa, we understand, but if your night is just starting when the sun goes down, there's a party every night.
